Emma is an award-winning mediator, dual registered with the CMC for Civil/Commercial and Workplace mediation and awarded Fellowship in recognition of her extensive mediation experience.
Emma has conducted over 100 mediations in civil/ commercial and workplace, both online and in person, with a predominance of disputes within Universities and Councils. Her work has included high profile matters, such as Dr Oetker’s production site expansion effect on their residential neighbours and bringing a 3-month protest by Protect Warwick Women, for safety on campus at the University of Warwick, to a successful conclusion.
In recognition of her expertise, Emma has been awarded Mediation Trainer of the Year and shortlisted as Workplace Mediator of the Year at the National Mediation Awards 2002/23, presented at the House of Commons. Emma has been asked to share her knowledge on BBC Radio, at numerous national and international conferences and has authored several published articles.
Emma adapts well to different parties, whether individuals without representation or businesses with barristers and experts in tow, sometimes encountering the extremes of parties in one case, particularly in multi-party disputes. Building rapport and trust with strong interpersonal skills, parties have confidence in being open, enabling her to effectively identify underlying issues and common interests. A Partnership, Shareholder and Commercial dispute specialist with workplace and employment mediation experience. Paul's approach is one of focusing on solving problems and taking down the barriers to settlement. Paul has experience of leading face to face, video and telephone mediations.
Heather is the founder and Managing Director of 20:20 Mediation Ltd. Beyond mediation, she has a long and successful career as a strategic manager in public sector services spanning 30 years specialising in complaints management and investigations, workforce development, policy and change management.
Heather is registered with the CMC for Civil and Commercial and Workplace mediation. Having gained Mediation Practitioner accreditation in 2009, she has continued to build her professional mediation portfolio.
In addition, Heather is a Special Education Needs Mediator, working for a national organisation supporting parents of children with disabilities to navigate disputes with the Local Authority, in line with the SEND Code of Practice 2015.
Heather is also an active volunteer Community Mediator, working with a range of tenant and community issues.
Emma became a CEDR accredited mediator in 2008, and specialises in civil and commercial disputes. She is also an experienced workplace mediator and mediation trainer. Prior to becoming a mediator, Emma worked as a commercial dispute resolution solicitor at Allen & Overy (London) and Herbert Smith (Hong Kong). Her considerable experience as a lawyer representing parties to mediations has given her a deep understanding of the parties’ commercial interests and concerns, and an ability to see all sides of a dispute. Adept at dealing with parties from a wide range of backgrounds and business cultures, Emma is quickly able to get to the heart of a case. She combines legal acuity with personal warmth and an ability to build rapport quickly with individual and corporate clients alike.
Andrew is an award-winning, internationally acclaimed, CEDR and IMI accredited mediator, mediation advocate and dispute consultant. He is acknowledged as one of the world's leading specialist mediation and advocacy trainers.
Since 1993, he has conducted hundreds of mediations in a large variety of disputes including commercial, construction, partnership, franchising, professional negligence, higher education and farming.
He has been a barrister in private practice since 1978 (Master of the Bench, Inner Temple, 2009). Andrew has been recommended as a leading junior in professional indemnity claims and as a leading mediator in the Legal 500 for 23 years and for four years by Chambers Directory as a leading practitioner is ADR. He is currently a member of the Bar's ADR Panel, the Independent Standards Commission of the International Mediation Institute and co-Vice Chair of its Mediation Advocacy Appraisal Committee.
He is an itinerant visiting lecturer on the LLM/MA Dispute Resolution courses at UCL and a peripatetic lecturer at many other universities. He has provided training in mediation all over the world and works in up to 20 jurisdictions.

Nimish is dual registered with the Civil Mediation Council (the “CMC”) for Civil/ Commercial and Workplace mediation.
He has been a qualified solicitor for over twenty years which has given him significant experience within the personal injury field where he has dealt with large and complex RTAs, EL and PL claims as well as Occupational Disease and Clinical Negligence. This includes a successful claim in the Court of Appeal in 2010.
Nimish is a Finalist for Clinical Negligence Lawyer of the Year at the Claims Media Awards in 2023 having previously been a Finalist in 2021 and has been listed as “recommended” within the Legal 500.
He has also been involved in two group litigation settlements where it was necessary to manage the expectations of over a hundred Claimants with differing issues arising from the same exposure. Both claims required analytical skill as well as significant patience to explain individual variations of the settlements and he has received great feedback from clients and fellow legal professionals.
Dawn is an experienced mediator, registered with the CMC, for Workplace and Civil and Commercial matters. She provides mediation for a wide range of private and public clients, domestic and international business, and charitable organisations.
Dawn is also a Family Mediator registered with the College of Mediators (T.M.C.M) and mediates finance and property, and child related matters. Dawn is skilled at establishing a purposeful rapport with all involved and gaining an understanding of issues, to bring about positive outcomes in challenging situations
Graeme read Law at Cambridge University, having taken the 1st Lawson Medal for Classics in his final year at Manchester Grammar School and the Patchett Scholarship at St. John’s College, and was called to the Bar by the Middle temple in 1968. In the earlier part of his career he combined practice with academic lecturing, including lecturing in Land Law at the University of the West of England. He practises in the general field of chancery law including in particular mortgages, company shareholder disputes, partnership, covenants, easements, joint property, property trusts, proprietary estoppel, possession claims, title to land and adverse possession, neighbour disputes, wills and probate, succession, Inheritance Act claims, landlord and tenant matters including business and residential leases and disputes, restitutionary claims, injunctions and other equitable remedies; he also deals with agency and general contract and tort disputes.
Alastair is a Civil and Commercial mediator.
He has wide experience of mediation work, whether as Mediator or Advocate, particularly within the Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury sectors.
A graduate of Oxford University, Alastair is also an experienced Barrister and is the Head of Industrial Disease Litigation and the Pupillage Committee within St John’s Buildings Chambers. He is recognised as being personable, down to earth, approachable and calm and assured in his manner, whilst knowledgeable and analytical in his approach to cases.
Mark has acted as a Mediator in both civil/commercial mediations and workplace mediations. He was a very active panel member of the UCLan Mediation Clinic.
Such is Mark’s passion for mediation, he regularly attends events to expand his knowledge, such as mediation workshops, breakfast meetings, enactment events and Continuing Professional Development sessions.
Given Mark’s mediation and training experience, he was invited to assist in the delivery of a CMC approved Civil and Commercial Mediation Training Course in 2018. He was also invited to act as a Judge in the Lancashire Law School Student Mediation Competition in 2019.
Paul is a Civil, Commercial and Workplace Mediator.
He has experience in mediation both as a participant and as a mediator, having worked in the Insurance Industry for over 25 years in the fields of personal injury, public and product liability. Paul is also experienced in mediating in the community.
A graduate of the University of St Andrews, Paul is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and Graduate Member of the Institute of Legal Executives. He has a keen eye for detail and a calm demeanour.
Rob is a Civil/Commercial and Workplace mediator.
He has significant experience of mediation work, whether as Mediator or Advocate, particularly with commercial contract, and shareholder disputes. He has an increasing involvement in resolving disputes in the media, music and entertainment sectors.
Rob is also an experienced Consultant Commercial Solicitor, working with a national firm, and 2 regional practices, after running his own specialist practice for a number of years.
Rob is identified as being approachable and empathetic, but focussed on helping parties to understand the risks of litigation and the benefits of finding a solution to their differences.
Amanda is a CMC registered Civil & Commercial and Workplace mediator. Her mediation experience includes the construction sector, personal injury, and politics. Amanda is passionate about mediation, understanding the role it plays to support people with conflict and disputes to a successful solution.
An ambassador for justice, Amanda supports a law centre as non-executive director and trustee. Previous roles include equality and diversity officer, SEN advocate, and she continues to be passionate about women in construction.
